GCE O/Ls from Dec. 8

The G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination for both the new and old syllabi are scheduled to be held from December 8 at 4,800 examination centres throughout the country.

The examinations will continue until December 20. The examination will not be held on December 9 and 12 as these are Government holidays and on Sundays.

More than 290,000 students have applied to sit the exam under the new syllabus while 250,000 candidates have applied under the old syllabus. School candidates who sit the examination for the first time have to produce either their postal identity card or National Identity Card while external candidates who sit for old syllabus have only to produce their National Identity Card.
