No extra taxes on Ayurvedic raw materials

Indigenous Medici- ne Minister Tissa Karaliyadda yesterday said the cess tax on the import of raw material for the production of Ayurvedic medicine will not be increased under any circumstances.

He said the budget has proposed to increase the tax on Ayurvedic products. But that does not mean taxes would be imposed on raw materials for the production of indigenous medical products locally.
