"Do Marketers have a free hand?"

Do Marketers have a free hand?" is a forum for marketing professionals and senior managers, organised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region, under the CIM Talking Point Series. The programme is sponsored exclusively by HSBC and will be held today at Palm Lounge, Galle Face Hotel, from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm. The keynote speaker at the programme will be Dr. Wickrema Weerasooriya.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Weerasooria is an Attorney-at-Law and a graduate from the Ceylon Law College. Apart from practising as a lawyer in the civil and commercial areas, he lectured at several Sri Lankan Universities and Higher Educational Institutions such as Sri Lanka Law College, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Bankers to name a few. He obtained his PhD in Banking and Commercial Law from the London School of Economics (England) and was an Associate Professor of Law at Monash University, Australia.

Dr Weerasooria has written over 15 publications on Banking and Credit and is currently completing his latest book on Insurance Law. He also continues his academic work and teaches Business Law at the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM).

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Sri Lanka Region organises the CIM Talking Point series as a part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programmes with the aim of aiding its members to achieve greater standards in their professional careers, enlightening and empowering them to drive change in today's business landscape.
