The Average Weighted Prime Lending Rate (AWPR) and the Lowest Prime Rate (LPR) 
during the week ended 26th September, 2008 by all commercial banks was 20.38 per
cent and 16.75 per cent respectively.

The Average Weighted Deposit Rate (AWDR) of the commercial banks, for the 
month of August 2008 was 10.91 per cent.
