Wickramanayake takes over as 15th President of FCCISL
A graduate of Economics and Business Administration from USA, Kosala
Wickramanayake took over the reins from Nawaz Rajabdeen as the 15th
President, FCCISL at its 15th Annual General Meeting held at Hotel
Galadari.
Wickramanayake began his Trade Chamber career, parallel to his
business career when he joined the Sri Lanka Chamber of Small Industry (SLCSI)
as the Assistant Secretary in 1974 and he laboured hard to rise up as
its 10th President in 1996 and he was consecutively re-elected until
2000.
In 1996 he organized the Chamber Pavilion at the first SAARC Trade
Fair which was held in New Delhi. He also organized the Awards Ceremony
to recognize small and medium sector entrepreneurs to mark the 35th
anniversary of SLCSI.
Out of his 34 years of service in the Trade Chamber Movement, he has
served 14 years at the FCCISL in various capacities such as Council
Member,
Chairman, Finance and Audit Committee, Vice President and as Senior
Vice President from where he took over as President FCCISL. He is also
currently an Executive Committee Member of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce
and Industry.
