Sports can bring about peace and prosperity, says President
The 34th National Sports Festival commenced
yesterday with a colourful ceremony at the D.A. Rajapaksa Stadium
with President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the chief guest. President
Rajapaksa arrived sharp on time to open the new 50m swimming pool at
the Beliatta Technical College which was a long felt need for the
Southern Province.
