LTTE terrorists exploded a bomb inside a bus - Pollgolla
The LTTE terrorists have carried out a cowardly
bomb attack inside a public transport bus in Pollgolla, Kandy short
while ago(03.50p.m.). The bus, bearing number cp HG 7503, was plying from Waththegama to Kandy, and the explosion occurred near the Teachers'
Training School in Polgolla, sources said. More than 20 civilians
were onboard when the bomb exploded.

ago, June 6. According to the initial report, the explosion occurred

Govt taking all steps to secure GSP Plus
The Government yesterday assured that it will
take all steps to ensure the extension of the GSP Plus concession
provided to Sri Lanka by the European Union. Addressing the weekly
Cabinet media briefing, Export Development and International Trade
Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said that making an application for the
extension of the concession in haste will not be in the best
interest of the country.
