Schools under 19 'A' Division cager tourney from April 25

The All Island Inter Schools 'A' Division Basketball Tournament for boys under 19 organised by the S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia will take place from April 25 to 28 at four different venues in Colombo.

The tournament is being conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Basketball Association will see altogether sixteen teams taking part in four groups. Group 'A' fixtures will be played at St. Joseph's College, Colombo, S. Thomas' College, courts, Mount Lavinia. St. Benedict's College and D.S. Senanayake College are the other venues.

Group A - St. Joseph's College, Colombo, Lyceum International School, Nugegoda, St. Anne's College, Kurunegala, Royal College, Colombo. Group B - De Mazenod College, Kandana, St. Peter's College, Azar Central College, Akurana, S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia. Group C - Asian International School, St. Benedict's College, Kotahena, Ananda College, St. Anthony's College, Wattala. Group D - St. Michael's College, Batticaloa, D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo International School, Colombo, St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa.

'B' division cager tourney

Meanwhile, the all island under 19 'B' division basketball tournament for boys organised by the Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa has been rescheduled for May 9 and will be continued till May 12. Previously it was scheduled for April 16-21.

Altogether twenty-four teams will be in action this time and all the teams have been divided into four groups. The group A fixtures will be worked off at Loyola College, Negombo, Alethea College will be the venue for group B matches.

The group C matches will be played at De La Salle College while the rest of the matches are scheduled to be played at host Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa.
