Army Chief visits Forces' headquarters in Wanni

Army Commander Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka visited the Security Forces' Headquarters in Wanni yesterday morning to review military operations.

Lieutenant General Fonseka met Wanni Security Forces Commander Major General Jagath Jayasuriya and Senior Ground Commanders and discussed matters related to the respective areas.

Lieutenant General Fonseka made inquiries into the progress of the operations and other follow-up work in operational areas. He also inquired into arrangements that have been made to relieve the troops for the New Year celebrations.
