New IT centre at PIM
A new IT centre was opened at PIM by Prof. Narada Warnasuriya, Vice
Chancellor, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Dr. Uditha Liyanage,
Director, PIM, and Sisira Athuraliyage, Head IT Centre, PIM were also
present at the opening ceremony.
The Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) upgraded its IT Centre
through the installation of new computers and a range of new facilities
for the Institute's MBA students.
The PIM IT Centre will also conduct a number of programmes of
training for IT and Business Managers of both the private and public
sectors.
PIM pioneered the MBA programmes in Sri Lanka and has produced over
2500 MBA's over the past two decades.
PIM's alumni are in key positions in both business and State
institutions. PIM has combined good theory and robust practices in the
conduct of its programmes, which are both practical and relevant to
today's managers.
An MBA programme must sharpen competencies of its participants and
PIM's course structure and delivery process have been carefully designed
in order to develop a particular set of managerial competencies that are
necessary for the modern manager. |
