Nippolac expands to overseas market

Expansion: Participating on the occasion from (left to right,) D. S. P. C. Srinath, R&D Quality Assurance Manager, Eisha Hewabowala, Directress of the Nippolac Group of Companies, T. H. Prashantha, Lalith Abeynayaka, Buddhika Srinayaka, D. S. Gajanayaka, Production Manager, and Director of Silicone Coatings (Pvt) Ltd, Srilal de Mel.

Silicone Coatings of the Nippolac Group of Companies, manufacturer and distributor of 'Nippolac' and 'Vernon' paints, a truly Sri Lankan company, has achieved yet another milestone by entering into the Indian paint market and exporting its first consignment of paints to India recently.

The company has grown into a leading producer and supplier of top quality specialised coatings for decorative paints, industrial applications and automotive finishes in Sri Lanka since 1979.

The expansion into India was preceded by its first export to the Maldives last year. The Nippolac product range has constantly progressed to exceed the expectations of the Sri Lankan customers and the standards of the industry. The move into the export market re-assures the excellence in the quality of the Nippolac Product Range that is being accepted by the global markets.

Acclaiming their high quality, the SLS Product Certification Mark was granted to Nippolac Enamel, Emulsion, and Weather-proof paints by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.

It is significant that Silicone Coatings is the first Sri Lankan Paint Manufacturing Company to have obtained both the SLS Product Certification Mark (2002) and the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System Certification (2004) from the Sri Lanka Standards Institution. Entering the overseas market is an endeavour to expand the horizons for Nippolac Paints whilst strengthening its local distributional network in Sri Lanka.

Commenting on this achievement, the Chairman and Managing Director of Silicone Coatings said, "It has been a dream for our company to reach the overseas market with our Nippolac Product Range as we can proclaim that our products are manufactured to international standards and they confer to the highest quality levels mandatory in the paints industry.

We are focussed in providing innovative solutions, service and quality for our customers with a passionate commitment. We believe that our commitment to quality, high service levels, innovations, affordability coupled with genuine effort to contribute to the local economy has taken us to the current position we hold today in the Sri Lankan Coatings Market.

Entering into the overseas markets, has provided us with the opportunity to widen our customer base in the Asian market.
