Marine animals smuggled from Lanka seized

Israel : Veterinary inspectors at Ben-Gurion Airport on Monday seized a shipment of marine animals banned for import into Israel.

The contraband - eight starfish, 28 sea urchins and 15 small crustaceans - was smuggled from Sri Lanka via Jordan inside a shipment of aquarium fish and shrimp.
