Irresponsible batting put Lankans out of C'ship

National Colours Awards on April 4

The Ministry of Sports and Public Recreation has made arrangements to hold a National Colours Award Ceremony on April 4 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. This was stated by the Minister Gamini Lokuge at a media conference. Sports governing bodies will nominate sportsmen and women and youth sportsmen and women for whom cash awards will be presented.

Second win for Lankan women paddlers

Sri Lanka women's team registered their second win while men's team won their opening match easily in the ongoing World Team Table Tennis Championships 2008 which began in Guangzhou Gymnasium in China on Sunday. The tournament will be continued till March 2.
