WCIE Trade Fair in May

The 9th Western China International Economy Trade Fair (WCIETF), which is integrated with commodity exhibition, merchandise trading and negotiations, investment and cooperation, business discussion forum, and business seminars, will be held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, from May 25 to 28.

The WCIETF provides opportunities for, Business meetings among developing nations in global buying and supplying, to attend the second Symposium of South -East Asian and West Chinese entrepreneurs, and to participate in the Seminar on Inter-national tourism and culture, among several other events.

This Fair is approved by the State for development of Western China, and organised by The People's Government of Sichuan Province.

Around 10,000 professional businessmen and investors from more than 50 countries, including Sri Lanka, and over 30,000 domestic professional purchasers are expected to participate this year, and the number of visitors is estimated at 300,000. Opportunities to discuss and negotiate business, investments, training, technology exchanges, joint-ventures will be made available.

The organising committee has appointed the Sri Lanka China Business Cooperation Council (SLCBCC) as their sole representative in Sri Lanka, to promote and organise participation at this Fair.

The SLCBCC has made arrangements for the Sri Lanka Manufacturers, Exporters and importers to participate at this Fair, by exhibiting their exportable products.

Presently 15 exhibition booths are reserved in the Sri Lanka Pavilion, which can be increased to 25 or more depending on the response. At the request of the SLCBCC, the Organisers have granted a discount of over 65% on the rate of standard booths for the Sri Lankan participants registering through the SLCBCC.

At the same time, the SLCBCC is organising a Business delegation to visit this Fair. The registration forms and relevant information will be made available at the office of the SLCBCC.
