Beware of fraudsters - Agriculture Development Ministry

The Agriculture Development and Agrarian Services Ministry has received information on some persons who have fraudulently collected money from the people during the national field survey week of the “Let’s grow to build the nation,” National Food Production Drive launched by the Ministry.

The field survey week of this national food productive drive which commenced on January 13 will be conducted until January 19, a media release issued by the Ministry said yesterday.

The Ministry has received information about a person from the Kegalle area who has collected Rs.175 from a person to get membership of this national food production drive. However, this national food production drive has not introduced any such programme to provide membership to the people by charging money, the release said.

The Ministry requests the people not to be misled by such fraudulent people. The Ministry further requests the public, if they have received any information on such people to inform the following address or telephone numbers.
