The Government yesterday donated valuable land from Colombo 12 for “All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama” the Council of Muslim Theologians and the apex Islamic religious body in Sri Lanka. President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over the document pertaining to the land to M.I.M.Rizvi, Chairman of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama at Temple Trees. Ministers Dinesh Gunawardana, A.H.M.Fowzie, M.H. Reiterating the Government’s commitment to depoliticise media and ensure media freedom, President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday called on all media institutions to adopt a more ethical and responsible media policy in portraying the truth to the people.
