President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga on Saturday reiterated that
Nations of the world should impose tough sanctions on terrorist groups
such as the LTTE which continue to engage in violence.

Anura signs International Convention for
Suppression of Nuclear Terrorism Acts
FOREIGN Minister Anura Bandaranaike signed the
International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear
Terrorism on September 14 at a treaty event at the United Nations in New
York. Bandaranaike addressing the media said Sri Lanka has been closely
involved in the process of negotiating international conventions in
