Diplomacy over, Saddam must leave says Powell

WASHINGTON, Monday (AFP) Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has "blown" every chance to avert conflict and will be given an ultimatum on Monday to leave the country or face war, Secretary of State Colin Powell said.

Navy arrest Tiger boat off Trinco

Naval troops patrolling the outer harbour of Trincomalee, arrested three Sea Tigers after a mid sea chase of their boat in the early hours of yesterday, a Navy spokesman told the Daily News yesterday.
