Vijaya House emerged champions by obtaining 563 points at the annual
inter-house sportsmeet of the Sri Pada Madhya Maha Vidyalaya.
Hatton in the Hatton Educational Zone in the Nuwara Eliya District
held at the Dunbar ground Hatton under the patronage of Central Province
Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake recently.
Gemunu House which collected 550 points was the runner up and Perakum
House which gained 483 points was placed third.
The cadet plattoon of the Sri Pada MMV accorded a guard of honour for
the Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayeke who was the chief
guest of the sportsmeet on his arrival.
Certificates, awards and champion trophy were presented by the Chief
Minister Sarath Ekanayake, Chairman of the Central Provincial Passenger
Transport Authority W. G. Ranasinghe, Zonal Directress of Educaiton
(Hatton) Mrs. C. Kanapathy, Additional Zonal Directress of Education,
Hatton P. H. M. Chandralatha and Principal of the Sri Pada MMV Upali
Thilakaratne. |
