Sierra Global to construct the North Fiber Optical Cable line
Sierra Global Network Private Limited has successfully completed the
stage 1 of the Sri Lanka Railway North Fiber Optical Cable (FOC)
construction Project by constructing the first 25 kms on time.

Sri Lanka Railway North Fiber Optical Cable (FOC) line is being
constructed as part of the reconstruction of the North Railway line
where the entire track from Vavuniya to Kankasanturai as well as from
Medawachchiya to Talaimannar Pier was destroyed during the civil war
which ended in 2009. Kiran Infra Engineers Ltd of India has awarded the
construction contract of Fiber Optical Cable (FOC) line to Sierra Global
where the project to be implemented in few stages covering over 400 kms
length giving a seamless connection between the railway stations in the
Northern Province fulfilling their communication and signaling
requirements.
