Dunlop Slazenger sponsors schools tennis

Dunlop Slazenger has undertaken to be the official ball sponsor to the All Island Schools Boys Tennis tournament which is being conducted at the SLTA premises till July 29 by the Sri Lanka Schools Tennis Association.

The balls were handed over at a simple ceremony conducted just before the beginning of the tournament at the SLTA to Br Granville Pereira, president and Mrs Victoria Perera, secretary of the association respectively.

The local agents for Dunlop, Ralhum Trading Co., Pvt Ltd are also planning to help the tennis playing schools and also the school tennis players in a big way in the coming years with equipments and whatever assistance possible especially with more sponsorships.

Dunlop and Slazenger are two of the leading brands in racket sports, especially tennis in the world with many international players namely Thomas Johanssen, Tommy Has, Tim Henman, Amile Maurisemo to name a few using the product.

The brand has become very popular in Sri Lanka within a short period of time due to its quality and reputation. It is also used by many Sri Lankan top players as well, most prominent of them being Dineskanthan Thangaraja of St. Peter's College who became the No. 1 ranked player in the Asian 14 and under Zone 2 Tennis Championships held in Vietnam in January this year.
