Nadeeshani brings honour and fame to Police

Nadeeshani Waragoda of Police Sports Club brought honour and fame to the Police by being a member of the 4x100 relay squad which finished third in the Asian Grand Prix. An old girl of Sumana Balika Vidyalaya, Ratnapura and is presently attached to the President's Security Division.

She won the 100 metres and 200 metres events in the 2010 women's athletic meet. She also won the 200 metres event in the same year with a timing of 24.71 seconds. She won the 200 metres event in the National Championships. She won the 100 metres (12.19 seconds) and 200 metres (24.73 seconds) in the 2011 women's nationals.

Nadeeshani was also a member of the 4x100 metres event in the 2010 Asian Athletic Championships. She holds the record for 100 metres and 200 metres in the Police Department.
