Trinity College, Kandy beat Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa by five wickets in their inter-school under 15 division one tournament cricket match. Vazians batting first were 178 for 6 in their allotted 49 overs with Shenara Ranatunge making 72 and in reply Trinitians passed their opponent total with 179 for 5 with L Rathnayake making the top score of 53 with valuable contributions from F Sangeeth 41 and B Boyagoda unbeaten on 43 runs.
