A snatch thief who robbed a gold chain worth Rs 200,000 from a woman
travelling in a Colombo bound train from Puttalam and escaped as it
passed the Batuluoya Station on June 2, was nabbed by Mundalama Police
lying in ambush near the same station on June 4.
Police also recovered part of the robbed chain from the suspect's
possession.
