EXIDE, has appointed Sunil Perera of Gypsies as its brand ambassador
for the forthcoming year.
EXIDE today stands proud of its heritage and the trust it has built
over the years in the minds of its customers. The automotive and
motorcycle batteries marketer and distributor has lived and prospered in
Sri Lanka for decades now. And with its parent brand, Brown & Company
forays through deals, mergers and acquisitions, EXIDE has been grabbing
their share of local headlines.
Speaking about the appointment, Sunil Perera said, "It is a privilege

Browns for selecting me as its brand ambassador and I will ensure to
give my fullest support to fortify the EXIDE brand name in Sri Lanka and

EXIDE is the only battery brand to receive the Superbrand status in
Sri Lanka. It was also selected as one of the 10 most respected brand
names in 2010 "SLIM-Brand Excellence Awards" and was able to secure the
19th place of best 100 brands by Brand Finance Sri Lanka. Being included
as the only unlisted battery brand name among the best motor accessories
brands was another special honour received by EXIDE. Panduka Weerasinghe,
