CIMA Business Case Awards 2013 launched
The CIMA Business Case Awards 2013, the competition dedicated to
finding and sharing the secrets of organisations' success was launched
on June 7 at the Cinnamon Lakeside. This year's contest invites
corporate warriors to try their hand in the business arena, pitting
against each other their business cases on ground breaking initiatives
that sustained their company's success and beaten competition.
The Business Case Awards aims to foster knowledge sharing within and
between companies, crating a culture of success. Last year's competition
saw Bank of Ceylon, Hemas Holdings, Airtel, and Ceylon Cold Stores
present excellent case studies on increased efficiency and turnarounds
within their organisations, to place in the top 5. The MAS Active Team
of Roshan Liyanage, K.A. Sulochana and Varuni Fernando took the crown at
the Business Case Awards Night 2012, with their case on Finance
Transformation.
Teams narrate a real-life occurrence within a company based a theme
such as change management, process excellence, or information
intelligence, and then present the case and findings, indicating the
learning to the wider community. The cases are evaluated by
distinguished panel of judges, chaired b y Professor Uditha Liyanage,
and comprising Dr.Travis Perera, Ravi Edirisinghe Dr.Arul Sivagananathan
and Manil Jayasinghe.
