Stage set for Construction Expo 2013

The second edition of Sri Lanka’s Premier Construction Machinery, Technology Supplies and Services Exhibition ‘Construction Expo 2013’ will be held from June 14-16, 2013 at Bandaranaike Memorial International Hall.

This year the exhibition will see the participation of major industry players both from home and aboard and international exhibitors especially from China, India, Singapore, Australia and other countries are expected to participate in ‘Construction Expo 2013’.

The exhibition will give the opportunity for visitors and participants to experience the wide array of construction industry related products and services on offer in Sri Lanka.

The ‘Construction Expo 2013’ will also be an ideal platform for all stakeholders in the industry to create much needed business links with foreign and local counterparts.

The exhibition will showcase products and services such as latest technological advancements in equipments, building materials, services and techniques in the related fields.

The ‘Construction Expo 2013’ is organized by the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB) in collaboration with the Presidential Award Winning Exhibition organizer Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (LECS).

Imran Hassan, Director of LECS said, “This year exhibition would become a more international event and we have received a number of inquires so far from various exhibitors who are willing to participate in the exhibition.

We see a growth in the exhibitor profile in this year exhibition and the event will comprise 230 stalls, which is a 15% to 20% growth compared to previous exhibitions.

“With heavy emphasis laid on infrastructure development in the country together with the booming economy Sri Lanka has been seen as one of the most potent destinations for all construction related equipment and services.

The rapid developments projects that have been planned and forecasted by the government which include major expansion and investment in the North together with continuous emphasis on development in the South has made the island nation a hub for all stakeholders related to the industry.

The exhibition, therefore is set to cater to all markets and stakeholders making it a central meeting point to network, exchange technologies and ideas, network and expand their products portfolios and services in keeping line with the rapid progress in development witnessed across the country,” Hassan noted.

True Value Products (Pvt) Ltd has partnered this event as the principal sponsor and United Motors Lanka PLC being the main Sponsor for CME Asia with Hatton National Bank PLC coming as the official banker along with MN Homes & Construction as the official Sponsor.
