Former POG of Mahamaya Padmini dies

Former Prefect-of-Games of Mahamaya Girls School, Kandy (Primary Section) Mrs. Padmini Arambepola passed away at the age of 49 years due to a sudden illness.

She was working at Dharmaraja College, Kandy Primary Section at the time of her death. She was instrumental in organizing annual Sports Meets at Mahamaya Primary since 1989 to 2012. In the year 2010 she started the Junior Cadet Platoon at Mahamaya Primary and she was a member of the Mahamaya global link team. She visited huddendenfoot T and G School, Halifax, West Yorkshire, England in 2012. Padmini is an old girl of Alawathugoda MMV. Her funeral will be held today at Mahaiyawa Cemetery, Kandy.
