District sports pools set up in Wayamba

The necessary steps have been taken to set up new District practice pools for Volleyball, Netball, Soccer, Basketball and Kabadi under the Kreeda Shathi programme by the Sports Development Department of Wayamba Provincial Council.

The selection trials were worked off at the Kurunegala Maligapitiya grounds recently.

Twenty players for each game at the age of 14-17 years were selected.

The Sports Development Department provide funds and facilities.
