Mobility Tour, powered by Progress OpenEdge, in SL

“Today mobility is not just a trend; it’s a way of life. As people demand faster, quicker connectivity, businesses need to adapt dynamically in order to stay competitive” said Chairman Kingslake Engineering, Dr S Dharmavasan.

Expanding on the Mobility Tour to be held in Sri Lanka on June 6, Dr Dharmavasan said that Progress OpenEdge is an integrated platform for the rapid development, deployment and management of standards-based and service-oriented business applications.

“The latest release, version 11.2, brings you the Power of Mobile; a complete, modern and fully-enabled Mobile Application Development Platform. Organisations need to join the Mobility Tour and learn more about how it can help you grow”.

CEO Kingslake, Duleep Fernando said that this would be a great opportunity for Progress partners and customers to preview the OpenEdge Roadmap, find out how Progress OpenEdge 11.2 simplifies development for mobile devices, explore how your mobile strategy complements your modernisation strategy, as well as network with your peers, Progress leaders and Progress OpenEdge developers.

He said “Progress and Kingslake are committed to your ongoing growth, helping you take your business applications beyond the desktop”.

Amongst the speakers at the Mobility Tour will be Bhupesh Lall who serves as the Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) at Progress Software.

He has over 15 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, with a strong focus on solving challenges faced by customers through the adoption of cutting edge technology. He will be speaking on current mobility trends. Also speaking will be Xinwei Huang, Channel Sales Manager for South Asia who will present on “Why & How participants of the mobility tour can start building mobile applications.” In addition, Michael D’Costa will demonstrate the OpenEdge Mobile Application Development Platform, its features and how it simplifies development in order to turn business ideas into reality.

Kingslake has been working with Progress since 1996, and has built a strong partnership with them over the years. Most solutions and mobile applications by Progress are developed using the Open Edge platform. Due to the success of this strategic collaboration Kingslake is also the principal distributor for some Progress applications in the Asia Pacific region.
