Schaeffler India Automotive has organised 39 medical campaigns for
garage staff along with dealers since 2012. These campaigns have taken
place at various locations around India, serving more than 3,680
potential customers.
Schaeffler customers have been delighted with the services provided
and have conveyed their high regard for this socially responsible
initiative.
Douglas & Sons (Pvt.) Ltd., (DSL), a pioneer in the auto industry in
Sri Lanka, together with Schaeffler, organized the first medical camp
for mechanics/garage staff and retailers on May 22 at the Alaka Mandawa
Banquet Hall in Kirillawala.
This is the first ever event of its kind in the Sri Lankan auto
industry, planned and initiated under the guidance of Saroj Perera,
Chairman/Managing Director of Douglas and Sons ( Pvt ) Ltd., thus once
again placing DSL in the forefront of the automotive industry.
This event was graced by Joydeep Roy, President, Automotive,
Schaeffler India, Managing Director, INA Bearings India Pvt. Ltd., and
LuK India Pvt. Ltd., along with Siva Arvinth, General Manager, Sales /
Operations, Schaeffler India Automotive, Sura Seetha Rama Rao, Deputy
Manager, Marketing and Vasantha Kumar, Head Product Management.
The main objective of the medical campaign is to build an emotional
bond with the customers, which leads to brand preference and brand
loyalty.
The Schaeffler customer medical visits had been organised with well
established hospitals/health care centres to provide services.
During free time while having check-ups, customers got the
opportunity to understand the organization, plant and manufacturing
facilities by watching a video that included the current product range
along with information on newly launched products.
This helps the company to interact with the customers and develop
their understanding of the product range, technology and quality through
the company’s technical experts, along with advice on how to handle the
products properly.
Schaeffler India AAM together with DSL plans to organize similar
activities in five locations across Sri-Lanka in 2013.
