Rugby match called off as doctor was missing
The schools Under 20 Division two segment ‘B’
rugby tournament match between traditional rivals Sri Rahula
College, Katugastota and Sri Sumangala College, Kandy was called off
shortly after half time when the official doctor was missing from
the venue at the University Grounds, Peradeniya. At the time the
match was called off Sri Rahula College were leading 41-3.

Phil Greening may coach Havelocks this year
Former England hooker Phil Greening is likely to
coach Havelocks Sports Club in the 2013 rugby season. Greening who
was the national coach of Sri Lanka in 2012 coached the Havelocks
Sevens team which emerged runners-up of the Club Rugby Sevens three
weeks ago and will continue to coach the Park Club unless he is
asked to help in coaching the Sri Lanka team along with national
coach South African Ravin de Plessis and his assistant Englishman
Ben Gollings.
