Power Net takes away the FITIS Challenge Trophy

The Champion Power Net (Pvt) Ltd Cricket Team

Power Net (Pvt) Ltd bagged the FITIS Challenge Trophy by beating Caddy Shack Computers (Pvt) Ltd in the finals of the FITIS Cricket Challenge Trophy Tournament played at CCC Grounds recently.

This is the 8th consecutive year this tournament was held and this year had the highest number of teams taking part, that consisted of over 105 teams from the IT and Communications industry.

The purpose of this tournament was to develop and to reinforce inter relationship among the members and to provide some much needed entertainment through cricket tournament such as, the ICT queen contest, magic shows for kids, and a grand musical show adding the carnival atmosphere to this full-day event

Champions of the FITIS Cricket Tournament 2013 were Power Net (Pvt) Ltd, who were the recipients of The FITIS Challenge Trophy.Caddy Shack computers became runners-up.

Many individual awards were also carried away by the recipients that included Best Batsman award won by Malliyawadu Saman Sampath of Power Net (Pvt) Ltd . Akila Hasaranga De Silva of Power Net (Pvt) Ltd was awarded the Best Fielder award and the Best Bowler award was won by Sajith Thilanga of Caddy Shack Computers. Sweidha Chandiran of Caddy Shack Computers was selected as the The Man of the Tournament.
