Hotel employee in soup for molesting foreigner

An employee attached to a tourist hotel in Ahungalla who was taken into custody by the Ahungalla Police for alleged sexual abuse of a Japanese woman was released on Rs 10,000 cash bail and Rs 200,000 personal bonds with two sureties when he was produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate Asanga Bodaragama recently.

Police said the Japanese national had said in her complaint that she had befriended the suspect and started a love affair with him. Prior to her departure to Japan ashe invited the suspect to accompany her to the Airport. The suspect angered by her departure molested her by force.
