TNA MP S Sumanthiran yesterday expressed the TNA’s disagreement with
the no-confidence motion moved by the UNP against Foreign Employment
Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera in Parliament.
This is the first instance that the TNA expressed its disagreement
with a motion moved by the UNP against the government.
MP Sumanthiran said all are responsible for this tragic situation,
though the mover of the motion, Ajith P Perera, stated that Minister
Dilan Perera is responsible for being unable to get pardon for Rizana
and has to resign from the post as the minister in charge.
