KMSC meet Unicorn SC in final

Kandy Municipal Sports Club will meet Unicorn sports club in the finals of the Kandy Association Football League's 'B' Division inter-club soccer tournament match to be played at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy this Sunday May 5th at 4 p.m. Mayor of Kandy Mahendra Ratwatte will be the Chief Guest.

This final has been dragging for the past three months due to unavailability of a Suitable venue as the Bogambara Stadium had been heavily booked for schools and other sports activities, hence the delay in playing the finals.

Secretary of Kandy Association FL S. Mediwake told the Daily News that Kandy York Sports Club and Golden Stars Sports Club have entered the finals of the inter-club 'A' Division championship and this final too was fixed for the same day but Kandy York have asked for a postponement due to injuries to their players.

He said that the KAFL have requested them to keep this engagement but they have declined to do so. The Executive committee of the KAFL is expected to meet this week and take a decision on this matter.
