‘World powers plundering nations’ wealth’
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says
oppressive world powers are seeking to dominate countries by staging
wars and exploiting their resources. He made the remarks at the
closing ceremony of Scholars and Islamic Awakening conference in
Tehran on Tuesday night.

NASA captures monster hurricane from space
NASA’s spacecraft Cassini took this amazing
colourful picture of a Saturn storm that resembles a hurricane on
Earth. The centre eye of the storm on Saturn is about 1,250 miles
wide. That’s 20 times larger than the average hurricane eye on
Earth, that’s the distance between Dallas and Washington, DC.
Usually, hurricanes on Earth have a small eye and much larger outer
bands. But incredibly on Saturn 1,250 miles is the distance of the
centre eye only. The entire storm could be several thousand miles
more.

Chinese join Mars rush
Over 600 Chinese have applied to join an
ambitious Dutch aerospace project that plans to send humans on a
one-way trip to Mars for permanent settlement. The Dutch project,
while triggering enthusiasm to explore outer space, is also under
fire with the trip being viewed by some as a suicide mission, with
applicants being shipped to a planet that is uninhabitable by
humans.
