Army female swimmer dies at KDA

A veteran female swimmer of the Sri Lanka Army was found dead at the Ratmalana Kotelawala Defence Academy yesterday. A resident of Bataduuwa, Galle, she was following a course in canoeing at the Ratmalana Kotelawala Defense Academy as a resident student.

Reports said she had suddenly collapsed at around 5 am inside the hostel and admitted to the Narahenpita Army Hospital where she died, the Police said.

The reason for the death is still not known. Mount Lavinia Police are investigating.
