Triple murder case: father, son arrested

Karandeniya Police arrested two suspects, a man and his son in connection with an incident where a woman, her son and daughter were found dead with stab and slash injuries at their home in Karandeniya.

Police acting on information found the bodies of U Sriyani Pushpalatha, 39, Pasindu Sampath, 5, and Dilhani Sathsara, 7, of Akkara 24, Pahala Para, Kotawela on Sunday.

The Police arrested the father and son, residents of the same area, and found two manna knives believed to have been used in the crime, in their possession. Investigations are continuing.
