E-Learning Centres in Ampara schools

E-Learning Centres are being established in schools in the Ampara District to promote computer education in rural areas under the Deyata Kirula-2013 development programme.

Newly built E- Learning Centres in three schools in the district were vested with students recently. The Information Technology Ministry funded for the programme.

New E-Learning centres were opened at Addalaichenai Arafa Vidyalaya in the Akkaraipattu Educational Zone, Sainthamaruthu Al Hilal Vidyalaya in the Kalmunai Educational Zone and Korakkar Tamil Maha Vidyalaya in the Sammanthurai Educational Zone by Information Technology Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya.

Senior Minister P.Dayaratna, Digamadulla District Parliamentarians H.M.M.Harees and Sriyani Wijewickrama, Eastern Province Road Development Minister M.S.Udumalebbe, Eastern Provincial Council Member A.L.M.Naseer, Kalmunai Mayor Dr.Siraz Meerasahib, Sammanthurai Pradeshiya Sabha chairman A.M.M.Naushad, Divisional Secretaries and Zonal Directors of Education participated in the ceremonies.
