Due to the popularity of the event this year, the organizers Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO), in conjunction with Sri Lanka Tourism will stretch the event for two days and the event would be held in a gbiger venue, BMICH.

Sancharaka Udawa provides the ideal platform; a one stop shop to all inbound tourist providers spanning the length and breadth of the country.

The event caters to a wide array of 'less exposed' tourism service providers and provides all participants the only annual platform to showcase their products, services and most importantly gives each participant the opportunity to create vital links and network among themselves to bolster their products and services.

Chairman Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau, Bashwara Senaratne said that the main aim of the event is to give exposure to the tourism stake holders of the SME sector.

Mahen Kariyawasan, President, Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) said that the event is today considered a 'must attend' event among all medium and lower scale industry players.

“This event is one of a kind and provides the much needed exposure to a wider market for all service providers in the industry.

Our country has a rich and diverse set of services that will attract any tourist and the event provides the best meeting point for all these diverse service providers.” “It also gives the participants and public alike the opportunity to witness and experience the gamut of services that are on offer which are not considered mainstream,” he said.

For the first time Sancharaka Udawa will also feature an essay competition for schools.
