Crab culture centre opened

A crab culture centre has been inaugurated at Nachikudah in Poonag by the POSDO organisation.

Ten youths have been selected for training. The POSDO organisation is financing the new enterprise.

Minister visits Mullaitivu

Industry and Commerce Minister Rishard Bathiudeen visited Thunukkai in Mullaithivu district and opened a Central market on Saturday. The minister also visited Nankandal and participated in discussions with the residents.

Divinuguma Samurdhi Fair

The Divinuguma Samurdhi Fair and 15th Annual General Meeting of the Samurdhi Society will be held at Malabe today with the participation of Construction Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

The event will be organised jointly by Kaduwela Samurdhi Society and Kaduwela AGA office under the guidance of the Economic Development Ministry. The Divineguma Samurdhi Fair will consist of 50 stalls and it will be held until April 10.
