First Choice Lanka introduces protective gel coating

First Choice Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd, a Sri Lankan enterprise, for the first
time has introduced to the market a novel protective gel coating to be
used as a motor vehicle tyre casing care sealer that robotically repairs
and retreads cracks and punctures in tyres, ensuring motor vehicle users
a safe and unhindered journey. The product manufactured solely by using
the country’s raw material under Canadian technology, is a
scientifically engineered, eco-friendly and non toxic chemical gel that
protects the entire casing of any type of tubeless tyre.

The product, branded as 'Tyre Lyna,' was introduced to the Southern
Province during a demonstrative programme conducted recently by the
company at Habaraduwa in Galle, with the participation of retread tyre
dealers and agents of Galle.
Chairman/ Managing Director of First Choice Lanka, J. Kulathilake,
who had served as an Air-craft Engineer in Canada for over 10 years, is
the ingenious originator of the product.
Speaking at the programme, he said that he could introduce the new
gel sealant following extensive research for years, following the
go-green concept using locally procured raw material under Canadian
technology for which he had obtained the patent.
Tire Lyna is a non-flammable, easy to use tyre care solution, that
improves the reliability of casing structures and stops leaks and allows
for the long life of the tyre.
The product has many other advantages, such protecting the tyre
casing from heat, dissipating the tyre chamber heat so that tyres could
run cooler and preventing air loss by sealing around the punctures half
inch or 1.3 cm in diameter, First Choice Lanka Chairman further said.
In response to a question regarding the use of the product,
Kulathilake explained that about 03 ml gel coating should be injected to
tyres of small type cars and for the purpose of injecting the gel they
had also introduced a special pump which is available with tyre dealers
and agents. Tire Luna should be injected into a tyre only once in its
life time.
