HI FI Centre & DENON DJ appoints IRAJ, Brand Ambassador
Established in 1910 as part of Japan Recorders Corporation, the
company originally called ‘DENki ONkyo Kabushikigaisha,’ was shortened
to create the brand DENON in 1939. DENON is a pioneer involved in early
stages of development of digital audio technology, while specializing in
the manufacture of high-fidelity professional and consumer audio
equipment.
‘Denon DJ’ being DENON's line of DJ equipment, now adds a new
dimension to The HIFI Centre's portfolio of high-end brands after a
tie-up between D&M Pro which also includes Denon Professional and
Marantz Professional.
The HiFi Centre, pioneers in Sri Lankan audio visual since 1968,
provides professional audio, broadcast & cinema solutions and is a
subsidiary of Debug Group of companies. Currently The HiFi Centre are
the agent for World famous Harman Professional range of products, which
include JBL Speakers, AKG Microphones, Sound-craft Mixers, Crown
Amplifiers, dbx and BSS Processors, Lexicon sound-cards & effect
processors. DENON DJ was officially launched recently, by Hasanjith
Kuruppuarachchi, Head of Enterprise for HiFi Centre. He said “The
company is fully focused towards positioning the brand and providing
high levels of service to Sri Lanka's DJs. We believe in offering a
superior after sales service and thereby be a part of building up the
industry.”
Also present at the occasion was Abbas Kamrudeen, Director HiFi
Centre and Debug Group “As pioneers in the AV industry we have reached
yet another milestone by adding another legendary brand to our
portfolio” he commented. The Debug group's Senior General Manager,
Prabath Niroshan, who overlooks all regional business also mentioned
plans of promoting the brand island-wide through its 14 regional
business units.
A highlight of this partnership has been the appointment of Sri
Lanka's maestro of hip-hop and new generation star Iraj Weeraratne as
Denon DJ Brand Ambassador at which time he was also equipped with the
complete range of DENON DJ equipment. |
