Peterites in easy win over Gurukula

Half tons by Lahiru Milantha(56) and Janith Liyanage(55) played a key
role in the St.Peter’s College’s success as they registered a 145-run
win over Gurukula College Kelaniya in the inter-schools under 19 limited
over quarter final tournament match played at De Mazenod College
Ground,Kandana yesterday.
Peterites, taking the first lease of the wicket scored a splendid 249
runs in 48.4 overs.Lahiru Milantha(56), Janith Liyanage(55), Jason
Buultjens(39), Dineth Thimodya(24) and Crishan Fernando (24 n.o.) did
well for St.Peter’s. Namal Pathum impressed in bowling with four for 53.
Gurukula, in reply were all out for 104 in 32.5 overs. Janith
Pramod(18) and Roshan Anurudda(17) were the main contributors for
Gurukula. Sahan Nanayakkara was the pick of the bowlers with four for
20.
