US deploys destroyer off Korean peninsula

The United States has placed a destroyer off the South Korean coast to defend against a possible missile strike, the latest in a series of publicised US deployments to counter North Korean threats.

Psy’s new song features take on Korean dance

South Korean rapper Psy is promising a “Psy style” take on a traditional Korean dance to accompany the release next week of the highly-anticipated follow-up to his global hit “Gangnam Style”. The new single, titled “Gentleman”, comes out on April 12, and the 35-year-old star will promote it with a special concert the next day in the South Korean capital Seoul. “I’ve been working and reworking on it continuously and I think the latest version will be the final one,” Psy told a local TV news programme on Monday.

Pluto’s ‘gate to hell’ discovered in Turkey

Italian archaeologists have discovered the ruins of an ancient mythological cave in Turkey, believed to be the “gate to hell” emitting fatal carbon fumes. Described as Pluto’s Gate, the cave was celebrated as the portal to the underworld in Greco-Roman mythology and tradition.
