Western nations trying to enforce the GSP/WC/HRV cocktail on us --
GSP, war crimes and human rights violations, might as well keep in mind
that these nations will some day come to depend on the small nations for
help -- the old adage about the mouse and the bear still holds good!
So says our Special Correspondent writing on page 5, about selfish
Western powers which are insensitive to the fact that the 20 million
people of this country suffered from the acute pain of terrorism for 3
decades.
Fortunately, the leadership of the country chartered a different
course, and did not bow down to these countries that wanted to make our
country their happy hunting grounds. These self appointed guardians of
Sri Lanka should back-off, the writers emphasizes.
