LMD to showcase Sri Lanka’s Corporate Heritage
Pioneering magazine to publish a glossy coffee-table book
The publisher of business magazine LMD, Media Services announced that
it is working on a coffee-table book showcasing Sri Lanka’s Heritage
Companies. The 160-plus page publication will be printed in Hong Kong,
and it will profile some of the longstanding corporate houses in this
country.
Slated for release in August this year, Media Services says that the
unique publication will feature articles on Sri Lanka’s corporate
heritage and profiles of some of the most revered businesses in the
land. “We will also track their milestones along the path to success
over the last 50 years and more,” a press release states. A spokesperson
for LMD says: “We expect to profile some of the most innovative Sri
Lankan corporations, and to go behind the scenes and unearth their
formula for both survival and success.” She adds: “We will also ask
their CEOs about future plans, keeping sustainability and the prevailing
global order in mind.”
LMD’s Heritage List will cover a wide spectrum of corporations,
including some of the state sector’s leading lights. The
premium-quality, limited edition publication will be retailed at Rs.
6,000, in addition to being distributed to LMD’s “A-List companies” that
are featured in its annual publications – such as the LMD 100, Most
Respected and Brands Annual.
Media Services also published the popular lifestyle magazine Living,
the Living Colombo Guide and a business magazine for Sinhala-speaking
