Navy restaurants to bring foreign revenue

Sri Lanka Navy has established 10 restaurants and tourist holiday
resorts in several areas of the country. Local and foreign tourists have
the opportunity to make their holidays more enjoyable with all
facilities experienced in star class hotels.
According to Navy sources, they have established restaurants and
holiday resorts in Colombo, Uswetakeiyawa, Diyawannawa, Trincomalee,
Mirissa, Jaffna and Panama areas.
In addition, tourists have an opportunity to experience a special
aesthetic programme by the Navy called Navy Cultural Parade (Navika
Sanskruthika Pelahara) at Light House premises, Colombo.

This item is organized by the Navy Band and Navy cultural group
playing Western and Eastern music.
The Navy has established another holiday resort and a restaurant
named Adam's Beach View and Pear View near Thaleimannar Island.
The Navy has arranged ocean tours and accommodation with food in
these restaurants for tourists coming to see the Adam's sand dune near
Thaleimannar Island.
They have modified the old buildings in Sober Island in Trincomalee
and are being used as tourists resorts with all facilities. Another
holiday resort named Harbour View is established in Kankasanthurai,
Jaffna as well.
The Navy also renovated the Old Dutch Fort in Kareinagar and started
the Fort Hammenhiel holiday resort there. Two other holiday resorts were
set up in Panama and Weligama, Mirissa areas while a float restaurant is
established in Diyawanna area. |
