SLCFA congratulates new Chinese President

Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association (SLCFA), the pioneer organization of friends of China in Sri Lanka, extends warm congratulations to Your Excellency Xi Jinping for being elected to the position of the supreme leadership of the People's Republic of China as the President of the P.R.C. and the Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the P.R.C., at the First Session of the 12th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, states Sri Lanka-China Friendship Association President Ananda GoonatiHeke in a release.

The release adds: "The SLCFA is confident that the People's Republic of China, guided by Your Excellency's inspiring leadership, willgive full play to strengthen the socialist political system and will consistently keep to the socialist path of making political advance with Chinese characteristics.

The SLCFA is also confident that the PRC will fufther intensify the modernization drive, will boost domestic demand, improve socialist market economy, enhance social ethics, will institute multi-tiered social security system, will strengthen governance capacity, will uphold the rule of law, strict discipline at all levels, contribute to the peace and harmony of the world and definitely will complete building of a moderately prosperous society by 2020!'
